In 2025, we faced disinvestment and sweeping setbacks, dismantling years of environmental and climate justice progress. Yet, the environmental and climate justice movements persist, advocating for health, wellbeing, and joy for frontline communities in the face of these challenges.
FRI exists to serve frontline leaders through times like this. In 2025, we raised $9.5 million for fishing communities, supported frontline storytelling sovereignty, produced innovative research documenting frontline priorities, and built networks from New York to DC Climate Week. The highlights you’ll see in our 2025 Impact Report demonstrate the power of frontline leadership in action, reminding us that we are part of a global community bound by unrelenting determination to create wellbeing for all.
